134 years ago on the small uninhabited Indonesian island, four powerful blasts occurred changing the world forever. In its seismic wake, the Krakatoa brand was established, bringing forth it's first creation the Tephra rock slide. Many tales of underfoot comfort have been told of the sandal over the years as well the unusual color shifting upper that when exposed to sunlight changes color from Java brown to Lava orange.

- Spawned several 120-foot tsunamis that took 26,000 lives.
- The great eruption spewed 11 cubic miles of ash, 22 miles into the sky, blotting out the sun for three days and caused the global temperature to fall by 1.2
